Copyright Policy

This Policy explains creator responsibilities, permitted use of registered material and how You™ responds to copyright disputes.
1. Respect for creative rights
You™ is designed to preserve attribution and evidence for artists, makers and pattern designers. Users must respect copyright, moral rights, trademarks, design rights, privacy and other applicable rights.
2. Ownership of submitted material
Creators retain their rights. Uploading does not transfer ownership to Unidia LLC. The limited service licence in the Terms allows us to host, review, process and display material as needed to provide You™.
3. What may not be submitted
Do not submit copied work, unauthorised derivative material, another creator’s photographs, pirated patterns, misleading authorship claims, protected brand assets without permission or personal information you have no right to disclose.
4. Patterns and digital files
A pattern may be protected as text, diagrams, illustrations, photographs or other original expression. Registration does not grant control over unprotected ideas, methods, measurements or techniques. Do not upload third-party patterns or redistribute certificate-protected source files without permission.
5. Reporting infringement
Send a sufficiently detailed report to [email protected]. Identify the protected work, the You™ record or URL, the complained-of material, your relationship to the rights holder, contact information and supporting evidence. US statutory notices may use the DMCA process.
6. Review and interim measures
We may acknowledge the report, request information, notify the record holder, temporarily restrict public access, preserve evidence and decide whether to restore, amend, disable or annotate the record. Silence or temporary restriction is not an admission of infringement.
7. Responses and appeals
A record holder may respond with evidence of authorship, licence, permission, public-domain status, fair use or another lawful basis. We may ask each side to clarify the claim and may require a court order for disputes we cannot responsibly determine.
8. Repeat and fraudulent conduct
Accounts used for repeated infringement, fabricated evidence, abusive notices or impersonation may be restricted or terminated. Knowingly false legal statements may expose the sender to liability.
9. No transfer of legal rights
Approval, removal or restoration by You™ does not decide ownership or waive either party’s legal rights. Parties remain free to seek professional advice and lawful remedies.
